Master Communication Effectively Across Teams and Stakeholders
Good communication is key to achieving high performance in the workplace. Today’s team leaders must navigate a range of communication styles and preferences — not only within their own teams but also when working across departments and managing upwards.
This course helps you build the confidence and tools to communicate clearly and effectively in a variety of business contexts — whether you're leading conversations, giving feedback, writing reports, or presenting ideas.
You’ll learn how to tailor your message so it lands well with different audiences, including senior leaders, technical experts, and cross-functional peers. Even the most factual or neutral messages can be misunderstood depending on how they are framed. We’ll explore how to deliver messages that are both clear and constructive.
We also explore how to avoid common communication pitfalls that lead to confusion, frustration, or mixed signals — all while maintaining trust and relationships.
Through practical, hands-on activities, you’ll build skills in written and verbal communication using a clear, repeatable framework to help you master workplace communication quickly. This framework gives you a safe and reliable way to respond in the moment — without falling into the trap of reacting impulsively or saying the wrong thing.
Effective business communication gets the right message across, achieves the desired outcomes, and keeps relationships strong. That’s the ultimate goal of this course.
All delegates will receive a copy of the latest edition of "Help! I Need to Master Critical Conversations" by Trevor Manning (Trevor Manning Consultancy Pty Ltd; 1st edition, September 2018).
