NEW! Research skills training sessions
In line with the Department's mission and values, our goal is to broaden access to researcher training by enabling and encouraging participation from those outside the University.
To assess interest and demand, we offered an initial suite of three research skills sessions in March and April 2024, at subsidised fee rates, for which we invited external applications. All sessions could be attended in person in Oxford or online. Each session was independent of each other and can be applied for separately, although a fee reduction was available for anyone applying for all three sessions. Details of the sessions on offer:
We hope to run these sessions again in the future. Sign up to our Graduate School mailing list to stay informed.
Training for Oxford Uni students
As a graduate student at the University of Oxford you become a member of one of the most highly regarded educational and research institutions in the world. The Graduate School will help you make the most of the wealth of resources and opportunities available, drawing on our extensive experience in supporting graduate study.
Although primarily intended for research students, sessions are open to postgraduate taught students where the content is considered appropriate. Postgraduate students at the University outside of the Department are also welcome to attend any of our sessions to complement their own divisional or departmental research training programmes.
See our Graduate School training events to explore and register for upcoming sessions.
Additional training is also available through other departments, divisions and services around the University such as the IT Learning Centre and the Bodleian Library. Through the IT Learning Centre you also have access to a huge library of online and video based courses provided through LinkedIn Learning.
