Andrea Lechler holds a degree in Computational Linguistics, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence, and an MA and PhD in Philosophy. She has extensive experience of teaching philosophy for OUDCE and other institutions.

Reasoning enables us to acquire knowledge, to persuade others and to evaluate their arguments. But only if we reason well. We shall be learning how to recognise, evaluate, construct and analyse arguments, and how to recognise common fallacies.
Discover the fundamental principles of different types of reasoning. Learn how to identify reliable sources of information. This will make your own thinking more rational and help you analyse and evaluate others' attempts to persuade you.
What do we mean when we talk about the meaning of life? Is your life meaningless if God doesn't exist? Is it up to you what meaning to give to your life or are there more objective standards? What sort of life have philosophers considered meaningful?
Should you be a moral person and concerned about others’ well-being, or is it okay to be selfish? Does being a moral person mean following moral principles? What tells you what actions are morally right: reason, emotions, intuitions or your society?
