Jane Kershaw
Jane Kershaw is the Gad Rausing Associate Professor in Viking-Age Archaeology at the School of Archaeology, Oxford. Her work investigates themes of gender, economy and migration. She has recently completed a large research project examining the origins of the Viking Age, finding evidence for strong ties between Scandinavia and the Islamic Caliphate from the very ‘start’ of the period.
