Isobel Talks

Dr Isobel Talks is a lecturer, post-doctoral researcher and consultant. During her DPhil at Oxford, Isobel was appointed ‘Visiting Researcher’ at the Centre for Sustainable Development at the University of Liberal Arts (ULAB) in Dhaka, during which she worked on two projects about climate change education - ‘Trust and Climate Change: Information for Teaching in a Digital Age’ and ‘Climate Change Education Futures in India’. More recently, she has co-developed and delivered the MSc module ‘Environmental education: from education for sustainable development to action for climate empowerment’ in the Department of Geography at Oxford, whilst leading on the Fell Funded ‘Skills or Sustainable Farming Futures’ project, which is bringing key stakeholders together to develop new approaches to ‘agroecological skills’. Alongside her academic work, Isobel is also an independent consultant and researcher for organisations including Plan International, FCDO, Save the Children, NAAEE and NAEE, and the Landworkers’ Alliance.
