Priscilla Martin
Priscilla Martin teaches English Literatue and Classics. Her publications include books on Chaucer, Langland, Shakespeare, Iris Murdoch, articles on the Gawain-poet, Tyndale and twentieth-century novelists; and a novel.
Courses
A study of the English History plays, which deal with the century between the closing years of the reign of Richard II, who was deposed and probably murdered in 1399, and the Battle of Bosworth in 1485, which established the Tudor dynasty.
A study of three novels from the early, middle and late stages of Henry James's career, Roderick Hudson, The Portrait of a Lady and The Wings of the Dove. Each explores James's favourite subjects: the international theme, vicarious living, human choice.
