Biography
Dr Suman Chowdhury, MA, MSc, DPhil (Oxon) DIC, MSc (Imp) FGS FRAS MIoD, gained his doctorate in Geophysics and Tectonics from the University of Oxford. He possesses a broad range of expertise in the earth and space sciences, with field experience including the geophysical survey of the Chicxulub asteroid impact crater. He has lived and worked globally, in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America and served on the British Antarctic Place Names Committee. Dr Chowdhury is a Fellow of the Geological Society and the Royal Astronomical Society, and a member of the International Astronomical Union and the Institute of Directors.
