Active Influencing: Theory and Practice

Overview

Active influencing enables the Influencer to get the right information first time and first hand, and to gather, impart and gain degrees of control over a given message. It enables them to develop and commit to actions that will be correct and allows them to clarify all details in real time.

This day school will explain how difficult influencing is and what behaviours get in the way of allowing for active influencing. We will explore psychology, language structure and timing, with examples and opportunities to test and try during the session.

By attending this event you will:

  • understand what Active Influencing is and isn’t;
  • explore your current behaviours – what might be getting in the way and challenge it;
  • look at key principles and different means or styles of using influence;
  • acquire practical tips and tools to improve the power of influence; and
  • acquire practical tips and tools to build Active Influencing into a more assertive behavioral manner.

Please note: this event will close to enrolments at 23:59 BST on 23 October 2024.
